Last night I had my first BSOD on the new laptop (Win 10 Build 21H2). I had plenty BSODs laterally on the old one, but that was Win7. This one is a DELL G7 gaming laptop, Core i7 9th Gen, 16GB, 2 SSDs, Nvidia RTX2060 graphics card.
While playing a computer game, the screen froze, and I heard a kind of buzzing sound, like a very short audio loop, lasting about 5 seconds, and then the dreaded BSOD.
It rebooted OK, and without apparent ill effect, and after updating audio and graphics drivers, and running some SSD diagnostics (as the file at fault was NTFS.SYS), System File Check ("sfc /scannow") and my temperatures were within normal operating ranges.
I've yet to run fuller hardware diagnostics, and I'm sure there are other things to try.
I know BSODs happen for a great many reasons, but this is to ask about your experiences, diagnostics, fixes and so on.
I'm now on edge, waiting to see if it happens again

PS In anticipation of the inevitable "buy a Mac" comments, that may well happen once I'm able to do so
