Korg Gadget: is there a way to combine songs?
I’d like to take one scrap of one Gadget song and use it as the chorus in another Gadget song. Is there a way to do this?

Comments
I’ve wanted to do this myself in the past.
Don’t think it’s possible but hope to proven wrong.
No. Gadget neither has a scene copy function nor a clipboard that survives loading or creating a new project.
I can imagine doing this via MIDI export/import though.
I was thinking MIDI export/import might work too, but didn't have time to try it out.
Render to audio, then use Zurich?
I tried this: it creates a new song. I suppose one could use Taipei to send MIDI out, record it in something outside of Gadget, then replay it into Gadget, but there are several places for frustration to creep into that chain.
Good idea. If nothing else, I could render the "chorus" song to audio and use that audio as a guide track for setting up equivalent Gadget/MIDI tracks in the final project.
Update: putting rendered audio in Zurich was a good experiment. I could hear right away that it wasn’t going to work, musically.
