Koala Sampler as auv3 issues.
Koala just keeps crashing to a white screen, would like to think this is a zenbeats issue but it happened in other apps/daws and all other auv3s are working fine? Any 1 got any ideas please? Cheers

Try restarting the iPad. If that doesn't work you can always uninstall/install the app (taking care to save any projects etc in Koala to another location).
Hey ye restarted my device. Will try uninstalling reinstalling
Same thing after reinstalling, Talking with marek from koala now…
For future reference it would be really, I mean really helpful if we would get a bit more information on which device is being used as well as the iOS version.
Koala has been rock solid as an AUv3 in most of the DAWs I've tested it with on my iPad Air 2, iPadOS15.5.
So this could be a iDevice & iOS version specific issue...
My bad. Musta forgot. In Talks with many about this. iPad Pro 12.9 2021/ iOS 15 latest.
No worries...
...I usually keep all my devices up-to-date and nowadays many of the AUv3 issues I come across are related to various older iOS versions.
The hosts I usually test AUv3's with are AUM, apeMatrix, NS2, BM3, Cubasis 3, Drambo, GarageBand to name a few.
Koala's AUv3 UI has been close to flawless in all of those hosts.
I do hope Koala will at some point skip OpenGL and get converted to Metal which could potentially solve these kind of issues but backward compatibility would have to be sacrificed.
Hopefully it'll be sorted out soonish...
Cheers!
Metal (v1) is compatible with iPad Air1 (I think iOS 11)
So it’s come down to, it only crashes when the input is set to record when I hit the pads. All other options work fine
Check under System Settings -> Privacy -> Microphone and see if Koala still has access to it?
(This is mostly affects the stand-alone though).
To record audio in a hosted AUV3 it needs to be loaded into an 'effect slot' to get any audio it can record.
If it's loaded to an Instrument slot it doesn't have any input to record, the 'results' of this vary from host to host.
So the 'crash' could be due to Koala expecting an audio-input to record but the host doesn't provide one?!
Cheers!
Very interested. Will test
