iRig Blueboard- help!

Still on the eternal quest for a good bluetooth midi controller. Anyone using the iRig Blueboard? I purchased a used one. Seems to work fine but I'm finding it difficult to program. I want to set the switches to assign custom CC numbers to each one. I've turned on the unit, switched to CC mode, and set each switch for the desired CC number. The switches work but they are in toggle mode. How to I change them to momentary switches?

Anyone using the iRig Blueboard? I purchased a used one. Seems to work fine but I'm finding it difficult to program. I want to set the switches to assign custom CC numbers to each one. Following the directions, I turn the unit on while holding down the C button. I get a message in the Blueboard app which says "blueboard midi LE mode on. Turn of the blueboard and switch to Blueboard proprietary mode to connect." There's no reference to Midi LE Mode at all in the manual, so how does one turn this mode off? It appears that proprietary mode is set by holding down the A button while powering the unit on. I can then custom set the buttons for different CC values but it they appear to be in Toggle mode. I want these buttons set as momentary switches.

Google "irig blueboard manual" to find the manual. I don't think you can redefine the the cc numbers sent by the A B C D buttons. But can set the ccs associated with the two external pedal inputs.

There is an app you can download to configure the blueboard to the extent it can be configured.

  • I've downloaded the app and manual and reviewed both. Each button can be set to whatever cc value you want. My issue is how to set them as momentary rather than toggle switches.

You may need to use a scripting app like StreamByter to receive the inputs and transform them.

You can’t change from momentary to toggle. A lot of apps will actually have setting to determine whether to treat CC input as momentary or toggle. For those that don’t, as uncledave mentioned, you can use a script, but most of the apps I control with it (Loopy Pro, AUM, Drambo) can treat the switches as toggles or momentary.
