Impressive mastery of dRambo. I never got past the wondering how to get started phase :-|
I have my iPad DAW but one day I will get past the inertia and work out how to make dRambo and me actually get along! ;-) I have that feeling I’m missing out…
Thanks @klownshed
The hurtle to use and be playful in Drambo isn’t that much honestly. It’s all very logical once you understand the workflow and becomes very easy to use. I honestly only use about 15% of what Drambo is capable of. A little can go a long way.
Hope everyone is having a good Saturday.
Not popped in for a while. Measurements + dependence 👌
Thanks for all the support and kind words of encouragement @GeoTony
Cheers!
I need to do a better job of paying attention to the consolidated musician threads. I've missed a lot of good music.
I feel the same as @klownshed about your abilities with drambo. You might not think it's much, but having made a few feeble attempts at making anything musical with it I'm very impressed with your work.
Thank you @MadeofWax
Time to slow down and find your place between the gaps:
Added a few more tracks and elements to the previous track:
Happy Saturday:
Over 2 years of creations in this thread. I salute your endless spirit of invention and refinement.
Thanks for being a part of the journey 🙏🏼🎚️💗
Made this one on the flight back home today:
Nice one!!
effortless beginnings (both versions) 👌
Midnight Musings on the Polyend Tracker+
Many many thanks @colorsinspace @GeoTony
I appreciate the support and feedback.
Some more Tracker+ explorations:
Finally got around to finishing my Cloffice and celebrated the moment with a new little groove:
Drambo is my truly blessed happy place:
What add-on controller hardware do you use with Drambo?
@gravitas encouraged the purchase of a Launch Control XL to quickly map to his Aurelius (drambo) synth. I enjoyed seeing how he set it up and I mapped a few projects in AUM to use it as a mixing console.
I’m still months away from understanding how to leverage clip launchers and such but I’ll chip away at my big granite block of ignorance overtime.
I always enjoy checking in on your latest work and all the gear you have mastered.
Thanks for the support and encouragement as always.
I’ve really only used the Launch Control and Launchpad Pro/X with Drambo and they are both great.
Not sure if you recall this one from a couple years ago:
Cheers and enjoy the connection to Drambo with Hardware 👊🏼🎚️💗
My five cents: I have a good collection of different kinds of MIDI controllers, fromDJ style over knobs, pads, faders, buttons to dedicated controllers made for a certain app, sending all kinds of absolute and incremental MIDI CC messages etc.
Although I've used them extensively in beta testing and making MIDI control in Drambo similarly powerful as in Ableton Live, I must say that I'm hardly using them regularly.
Touching controls and pads on screen works well enough (and more precise when using the vertical velocity function on pads) and when chilling on the couch with the iPad in my hands (which is 90% of my iOS music making time), I wouldn't want the annoying cables and a controller that I don't even know where to put anyway.
Oh and thanks @echoopera for your continuous updates on your enjoyable musical pearls 😊
I kind of agree with @rs2000 nothing beats Glass and Drambo.
Until we get native plug and play hook up of controllers it’s not really worth it unless you play live and love playing hardware.
I’d just invest in a decent midi keyboard with pads and volume sliders if i were just starting out as it gives you the most flexibility.
@rs2000
Agreed, @echoopera's music is very enjoyable.
He has really good taste.
It's always a pleasure listening to his creations.
many thanks @Gravitas Truly appreciate it.
Trying out a few techniques in Drambo to bring back over to the Polyend Tracker+ and DigiTakt2:
Per Track playback speeds is such a powerful feature of Drambo...
Your stuff sounds coool man .. I’m curious if you’ve tried Prism sequencer yet .. it’s pretty sweet. It’s been my go to sequencer since I started testing it months ago .. I find it to be the most electron-y of any other iOS sequencer I’ve used but it’s also definitely its own thing and super fun to play ..
Many thanks @mikejohn appreciate the feedback.
I haven’t tried it out yet. I did pick it up but haven’t put in the time to master it. I’m so use to Drambo that it’s second nature for me now…but i plan on trying out Prism soon.
Soon.
Soon….
👊🏼💗🎚️
