"I'm Givin Up on You" Ambient piece done in Koala Sampler

In this track, I used Koala's sequencer to sequence the sonic events and recorded that. Then I used the file player in AUM to play it back through Alteza and Reelbus. The live performance aspect came in when I "performed" knob tweaks in Alteza and a little in Reelbus to constantly shift and evolve the timbres, with the intro being filtered in with a simple lowpass filter. I normalised the final results to -3dB in TwistedWave. See screenshots below, and enjoy!

P.S. The title of the song came from the fact I sampled myself playing "Say Something" on the piano, but you can't tell it's that song given how I cropped the samples, lol.

@jwmmakerofmusic : excellent work - your stuff is evolving fast. Some of my own favourite things/apps you might want to add to the mix:

Art Kerns’ MIDILFOs on knob twiddling, eg super-slow filter sweeps or random knob twitches.

Gatelab and Filter Step on infinite mode to provide rhythms, breathing space and variety;

doing a local mix, one channel hosting the sound source, bussed to the adjacent the effects chain - use MIDILFOs on random to switch out the instrument ‘enable’ in the AUM channel settings, and the effect chain tail will cover and smooth out the switch; or use it to do channel fader automation.

Multiple duplicates of a File Player loop, varispeeded to half or double speed, and/or Beat Offset against the original…

…and run everything at 20bpm! (But only because AUM won’t let you go slower) !!
