What stands out to you as the greatest bass synth app on the iPad?

I'm trying to organize my apps and determine what tools to use for what, and while there are a lot of crossover, I'd like to know what stands out in everyone's mind as the very best bass synth app on the iPad. Right now, I'm leaning towards Animoog for bass & lead. :-)

[Edited] So far, we have:

  • Z3ta
  • Thor
  • iSyn Poly
  • iMS-20
  • iMini
  • iSem
  • Sunrizer
  • Cube Synth

Comments

  • Z3ta+ or Thor, if I want low-end that doesn't sound like an electric or acoustic stringed-bass.

If I want something that sounds like a stringed bass, lately I've been going to iFretless Bass a lot. That app has also impressed several bass players I know.

  • I reckon iSyn Poly has some excellent bass sounds

  • Korg Ims20

  • The iMS-20 and the iMini. Those are what I use for bass.

I'd add isem to the above

    Edit: and sunrizer

For clarification in this particular question: I'm referring to "synth" bass, not sampled bass guitar. :-)

  • After I get enough comments, I'll use a poll to try to narrow down what people think is the best. :-)

Animoog is indeed great for bass. My favourite is Cube synth. It has that ultra low sub and the very best reverb on top. But since i'm more ambient/cinematic focused... don't flame me for recommending it.
Nave can also creating "brutal" bass sounds...and there is.... seems that doesn't help a lot ;)

  • I have no intention of flaming anybody. :-) I seriously am trying to find what people think is best--and why... :-) I'll had Cube Synth to the list. :-)

  • I moved the list to the top thread for easy access. :-)

  • ISEM is my favorite because of sound and reliability. Imini is my favorite because of sound.
I use iSEM on live gigs constantly , it sounds massive through a nice PA. imini too but those stuck notes really screw that up.

  • Another vote for iSem.

  • Cool! Thanks @mrufino1, @CalCutta, @thinds, @BSteff21, @DaveMagoo, @ArcaneScreams, and @syrupcore for the nominations!!! :-) I'm going to set up the voting thread now! :-) I'll post the thread when I get things set up. :-)
