pixound caught the bus

Hope everybody gets a chance to spend some time with the new universal pixound app: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pixound/id486076965?mt=8

It's a FULLY functioning, non-limited "demo" (i.e. free) with IAP for MIDI Out and Save but of course the AB comes along for the free ride so if you learn how to play along with the Autoplay (by tapping the dashed rectangle) and how to adjust the many parameters of pixound you should be able to record some amazing stuff. Delve further and unlock the MIDI out to burst chromatic data to your favorite synth and you should have the pixound "aha moment." Message me and I'll send you a link to a soundpack you can add to the GM bank that's there. ~Cheers!

  • Got it! Cool! Yay! Thanks!

  • Yes, got this yesterday with the IAP's. Another great app @technemedia.

  • Having fun with this one! Thanks Peter!

  • Head asplode from over-puzzling. Anyone got an example they'd care to share?

You can get some really great loops generating with the ability to define a section of the picture and then program how the cursor behaves in that frame. It works well with drums/bass using a Phono Paper background. ie monochrome with blurred edges.

  • Don't overthink it Johnny...this one is more for fun. The autoplay is my favorite. Turn it on with the little circle icon with a triangle in it. Then select an area of the picture. Once you get a little thing going, tap the dashed rectangle in the upper left and it changes to a finger and then you can play on top of the autoplay.

TIP: Swipe Your finger on the Plus and Minus buttons to bring up the selector for what they change: finger beat value, autoplay beat value and autoplay jump respectively.

  • @technemedia Always good advice :) I will jump in....
