Anyone try any UAFX pedals
This is just appearing on my Internet radar. Has anyone tried any of these amp or FX paddles? Would I be just as well off trying one or two of the UA plug-ins on the desktop? And how do you think this might compare to the THU guitar amp apps?

The Golden Reverb is incredible, hands-down. 4 styles (spring/plate/hall/chamber) with 3 variations each. The Astra is ok, kinda confusing given some knobs do nothing depending on the effect you’re using, and no matter what I do, the phaser always overdrives as if it’s being driven too hard by the input. The chorus rate can be controlled via tap tempo once you set that availability via the bluetooth app (I would’ve returned it if that couldn’t be adjusted). The tremolos and chorus are very nice, as is the flanger. I didn’t touch the Starlight delay because I’m more than satisfied with a Strymon Dig and Boss DD-500.
I’d recommend the Golden very strongly over any other premium reverb pedal on the market. The Astra would definitely be a case by case basis though. If you don’t have any of the effects, it could be a good all in one solution, but I hesitate to say it’s a top choice. I’d probably recommend to go a la carte so you could use multiple modulation effects at once. I probably wouldn’t buy it again if I had the choice.
I saw the amps and the Ruby sounds really good. I’ve already got the Strymon Iridium which has stood the test of time, but the new gear lure is tempting me with the classic Vox emu. Have to demo it in person before I commit, though.
Thx for the info!
