Atom PR2 - Trigger a Patter to Play via a MIDI Note

Hi,
I am trying to use Atom Piano Roll 2 to play a song. I have 2 instances of it.

Instance one will be the complete song; and I will use (carefully selected) MIDI notes at the start of certain measures to trigger patterns in a 2nd instance.

Instance two will have 4 or 5 patterns for the song (pattern 1 = intro; pattern 2 = verse one; pattern 3 = chorus one, etc.)

I saw a tutorial video where you can trigger or 'start' a pattern via a MIDI note. (Yes, I know there's other ways to trigger/start a pattern as well).

I can not figure out HOW to set the pattern so that it triggers when a certain MIDI note is sent?

Thanks!

  • Click on the "left" arrow until it switches to "Note"?

  • Tap the area between the arrows where it’s says CCV in your image. While tapping, drag left to get to Note. It is like a side-scrolling list, and CCV is the last entry. Note is the second item on the list, so drag to the left.

Thank both of you so much. It's tricky. I clicked on the left/right arrows by themselves and that does nothing.

  • It took me a few minutes of profane frustration until I tried the tap/drag method, too.
