Sideband Remix by 4pockets... anyone try this?

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/sideband-remix/id1576509490

is it kinda like the desktop vst mixroom (if i have the name right), that helps you to arrange things in the stereo image? so you can keep your bass in the middle/mono, the vocals middle but bleeding into the sides (depending on what youre going for) and pads, fx in the back/sides

also, in some apps like beatformer, you can choose M/S or L/R ... but you cant choose L or R its just L/R or M/S... what does this do? i know its mid side and left right but i guess i dont get the difference.. is LR just straight up stereo with nothing in the middle, and mid side is mono with... sides? lol anyway thanks for anyone who sees this and responds.

just trying to help find better ways to get a rappers vocals to sit well in the mix

  • I have it and use it on both iOS and macOS. It's the only 4Pockets app I have that does not crash on macOS. I like it.

Just curious....which 4Pockets apps don't work on MacOS?

All of my other ones. I think I have something like 5 of Paul's iOS apps and when an iOS app I've downloaded to macOS crashes GarageBand, I delete it from the desktop. I don't have a list I can give you.

  • I use this on all my mixes. I probably don’t use it like it’s supposed to be used, but it’s a way to add an Exciter to the mix, give some width to certain frequencies, and boost or saturate the whole thing. Plus it looks cool.
