Finally! Scaler is already a mainstay in my workflow 🤩
Does pre-order offer a discount or a benefit?
I'm not sure how to answer that. The app is free to try, with a $18.99 IAP to unlock all features. So the "preorder" does nothing except allow the free app to automatically download to your device once it's released.
I think it's just a way to promote the app at this point.
Scaler is awesome! They have made an iPad app with all the functionality of the Mac version - and the beta was exceptionally well crafted. Great effort and a boon for iPad music production.
An absolute instabuy…
Could scaler on iPadOS be used as a tool for a DAW on a Mac/PC throug midi-connectivity (IDAM/audiointerface)?

Followed along with the beta version, and everything from the desktop version worked great on the iPad version
Might not be for everyone
But I will be purchasing this when it drops
It’s quick to get things going, and some of the sounds are great

I would assume it has midi out but someone on the beta could confirm. I use Suggester in this way, either wired with an interface or wireless over RTPmidi.

No MIDI out in the Beta that I could find standalone, but AUV3 can be used for MIDI control of course.
18.99 is something I can definitely work with!
So, attach it to AUM and port it to PC. That could be save bet. I don't have the money to buy it for PC, so this could be the cheaper workaround.

In the Bluetooth Midi section of settings it has a midi output window that lists ports
I’m excited for this one. I’ve never used Scaler before but everything I’ve read and seen about it makes it sound fantastic. Will try the free version to see if it’s for me but I have a feeling I’ll be buying the whole shebang.
