    You could try dupeguru.

I've used it for video files and it's worked for me.

In the free version of CC cleaner there is an option for removing duplicate files.

    https://www.ccleaner.com/

For photo´s I have used a more advanced program, Duplicate cleaner pro, that one checks the characteristics of the photo, and file size, date, and other things. I had backups of backups, and then another backup etc., so photo´s existed multiple times on the same disk and other disks. You have to be careful you don´t remove to much.

    https://www.duplicatecleaner.com/

    I also used All Dup

    https://www.alldup.de/en_download_alldup.php

I used them together, to get a good result and to prevent I erase too much. From my memory (I did this in Covid time, working at home, enough spare time to run the long search jobs), finding duplicate movie files is still a bit problematic. Sometimes you get false positives with this.

And, for the sake of a good backup strategy, it is good to erase duplicate files. I am not sure your PC will really speed up after cleaning. I think SSD disks need some clear space to breath and to move files around, so that is my main goal.

I also use Tree Size Free, to find out which software uses a lot of space. For example Itunes makes huge backups on my C drive.

I also have used Winmerge, inside is a tool to compare folders, I used this to check if my manual backups went ok. If a file is missing or is damaged, it shows up.

I used this software (https://www.duplicatefilesfixer.com/) for delete duplicate data but i can only delete 15 photos in trial version. So I need to search more tool for now. Well thank you for your suggestion. I will check them.
