Is the full $15 version of MusicStudio worth it?
I like the double keyboard layout, but I'm not forking over the $$ for the full version without some recs, what do you think of it?

I like it. It has the orchestral Sonatina Soundfonts as an IAP I believe, and although you can get these for free to use in BS16i, I quite like the ease-of-use in Music Studio.
The Sonatina sounds come free with Music studio. Also, there is quite an extensive selection of prestes made by users that can be downloaded and imported into Music Studio for free. The following link takes you to the section of the forum where user sounds are available.

In this video you can hear the sounds of the Sonatina instruments that come free with the app
I've beta tested the latest version of Music Studio that will be released soon. The new update brings a vastly improved effects section, with multiple insert and send effects on a per track basis as well as several slots for effects that affect the whole mix.
One of the best things is that you can "preview" ("prehear") the sounds before buy the packs.

This sounds awesome, it is an area that has been weak for Music Studio compared to its competition, great to see this being addressed!

Olee! Pensaba que no se actualizaría mas. I thought that there would be no more updates.
And yes, this is a very good buy imo.
@Atlesbe Music Studio is far from dead! check out this list/time table for future features (taken from the Music Studio forum)
"We are frequently flooded with feature requests and created this thread to keep track of them. If you suggest a feature please follow these guidelines:
Composers who mostly use the piano-roll editor have other priorities than live performers or musicians who connect MIDI gear to their devices. We are aware of that and try to advance in every direction in order to make Music Studio the best mobile DAW in the known universe
Features we will add in Music Studio 2.5 (est. release date: late July)
Features we plan to add in Music Studio 2.6

I think Music Studio was the first DAW product I bought, and it met my know-nothing expectations, until I came across Nanostudio which was just more fun/easier (for me) to work on.
And that was that.
But things do go around and come around, so maybe....and I like the honesty of their list (Features we may or may not add in the far future).
Anyone got any feedback on the current state of their midi note/piano roll editing? A current obsession of mine...
I'm still on the fence, I love the free version though, so I'll prolly just bite the $15 bullet.
I didn't like it so much. The sounds and the effects weren't so hot in my opinion. They weren't awful, just sort of mediocre, and that's what turned me off to it.
With software, like Music Studio, I like to ask myself "Is the free version worth $15?" Thinking about it this way allows me to incorporate the value I've already derived from the app into my evaluation, which makes me happier about purchasing it, rather than constantly evaluating if the additional feature is what is worth the money.
Development of new features is also restricted by the resources the company have at their disposal, and indeed the more people that buy the pro version based on the merits of the free one, the more attentive and responsive the development team can be in providing quality future versions.
One of the things I really like on the free version are the chord pads/banks, good for songwriting.
Yes! For me it's definitely worth it - I love the workflow, the import/export options are great (send/open projects by eml, etc) & is universal. Alex (the dev) is also one of the best guys in the iOS music making world! One of my fave apps!
Pretty impressive list. I haven't looked at this app for years, but it is probably much improved since then. Maybe time for another look.
@Maarten
Thank you for the complete information. For me it is one of the best daws in relationship quality/price.
