HidE MIDI strip in Mixer view

I find the midi strip next to the audio track on the mixer view extremely distracting, especially when there is a lot of tracks.
I understand that it plays some role in certain scenarios, but I really do not need it in my particular workflow.
Is there a way to get rid of it?
