Yet to own this (It's on 'THE" list), but I thought it might be useful for beginners or experts alike if people could share their 'Top 5' lists of must-have patches, that have been kindly shared on PatchStorage.

If you can be bothered, please add an explanation for why you've made these particular choices.

Blowing my own trumpet here (no pun)
    but….
I’ve just uploaded a new version of my Hohner Planet patch. This is a very small size electric piano emulation as there’s no samples involved. I’ve just added controls to the front panel in the compacted mode so all of the main parameters can be changed and midi mapped with ease.

This is particularly essential to me because I needed a decent electric piano sound and the ones available for iPhone aren’t generally that great imo, and that includes the iPhone version of NeoSoul keys. I have a small keyboard to take on stage during my band’s gigs and have an iPhone strapped to it as a sound generator and needed a decent expressive piano sound for it so I just put this one together. Enjoy.

  • The other one that I often use and abuse is one posted by @Gravitas
It’s a DJ style LP/HP filter that can be mapped to one knob. Based on that I have since made a dual destroyer (decimator and bit crusher) as well as a combined reverb and delay effect which I’ll upload to patch storage soon.

  • Thanks for the recommendations. I'm yet to own Drambo. Decided to go for MiRack first. But thought I'd open this thread yo mirror the other thread.

Will definitely keep your recommendations in mind for when I do. However, you've still three choices left ;)

    Awesome.

  • My favorite patch isn’t on there (maybe) but it’s a Flexi sampler followed by an ADSR envelope. I put samples in there and then i can make music

Would be good to see what you do with this set up

What i do with it is simple compose with the samples, nothing to it, no magic. I just load my samples and record midi with the built in pads/keys. It’s Drambo on easy mode. Just an awesome sequencer and clip launcher to compose with my samples. No modular synth building, no confusion. If I need fx, I just add them at the end of the chain like any daw . The envelope is there just in case I need to shape the sound a bit extra
