Positive Grid Strikes Back! ;-)
Positive Grid has just released updates to BIAS and JamUp to enable the purchase of these three packs at $9,99 each.
Glassy and Insane have 6 amps, Crunch has 3: update/correction : Crunch listed only 3 amps at first, but it now has 6 too.
Each pack has, as far as I can tell, one new Pre-Amp and Power stage each that you can use when building new amps.
three short demo vids on YT:

After getting the ToneStack Motherload a couple of days ago, I'm not sure I'll be getting one of these though, may go for the Glassy, maybe.
Edit: one very useful thing is that they've reduced the size of Jamup back to 185 Mb!

Looks cool but did you see the amp matching videos for the desktop version?! When that comes to iOS that will be REALLY interesting.
I want to buy one of this but i dont have a guitar, is it good for synths? Or is not worth it? I want to use it for play sunrizer or another ios synth.
I think that synths through jamup sound great but it's important to remember that jamup converts your signal to mono. Fine for most things but it can occasionally suck the life out of a sound.
Mono. well maybe is not good for someone without a guitar or bass thx
Certain signals (most low-end) is better in Mono. I am a huge fan of JamUp. If you want a true stereo effects processor that caters to guitar amp simulation, ToneStack just came out and does that well. ToneStack also sounds great for stuff other than guitar. I am very partial to all the Yonac rotary/wah effects.
I have to keep JamUp far away from Animoog. It totally kills the sound.
But JamUp is free to try out, no loss. I love it for guitar. BIAS is really great too. Both are worth it for non-guitarists who want to add in some guitar sounds via Guitarism or iFretless.
Is there anyone else having trouble buying the glassy pack? I click to buy it and nothing happens, but I managed to buy the crunch pack without problems
Great catch on the JamUp file size reduction - they messed up on the last update and forgot to compress picture files for all the new graphics. That's a big help.
It's funny because when BIAS was first released, everybody said "Whoops, I guess they just cannibalized their own market for IAP's if you can just create and share new amps!". Turns out that wasn't the case (though who knows how many people are actually buying the IAP's).
I thought the last round of updates and bundles for JamUp was terrific. I even bought the Gurus amp pack (which was only 3 amps, but they had multiple channels and ran the full range of clean to heavy gain), and they're among my favorite amps in the whole app.
I was initially skeptical of this package, but 6 new amps is decent value. Also note that there is a "preview" button as there is in ToneCloud, so you should be able to sample the amp, albeit without tweaking the settings.
Guitars are mono, the Minimoog was mono - don't write something off just because it's mono.

Same here, cannot even get to the purchase screen, keeps "Loading"
@StormJH1
Maybe the problems with the Glassy purchasing are a sign that demand is high. I think the 'Glassy' amps are Fender deLuxe Reverb, Fender 6G6 Bass amp, Fender Vibro-King, Gretsch 6156, VOX AC30/6, Roland Jazz Chorus.
But the additional Pre-amp and Power stage modules contained inside the expansion are perhaps even more interesting than the amps themselves, allowing for more flexibility in creating custom amps.
btw. I did notice the preview option but I always think the previews (like many presets in amp sims) are either too flat or too extreme.
I only see 4 amps in glassy

Indeed. Most every synth until the 90s was mono. Hell, most actual synths (vs sample players) still are but their effects aren't. You can add stereo effects after jamup.
@Ripper Those are the Glassy amps included in the original BIAS. There's a new IAP store in the 'tone cloud' where you can buy a new 'Glassy' expansion with 6 new amps, as well as new 'Crunch' and 'Insane' IAPs.
So can an app like Stereo Designer from Holderness Media can fix a "loose" after i use an fx like this on animoog or thor?

Ok cool, thanks
Anyone else have to download the purchased amps 1 by 1 after buying a pack? I had to download each seperately and now they only show up in the "custom" amp section...odd.
That may be how it works. The new amps are available from Positive Grid in the ToneCloud section, but you can only DL them if you pay the bundle. Kinda weird.
Same here. In effect the amps are free, you pay for the new modules (Preamp and Power Stage) and the graphic EQ.
I did get the Glassy expansion but quite frankly I think these are a bit too expensive. Will wait for an IAP sale to get Crunchy. I'm not Insane ;-)
Yes it's a bit weird and confusing, they should have added the new amps to the factory bank when you buy the IAP. Now they get mixed in with the custom amps, it's not all that clear which of those are user amps and which are from PG, especially if you've downloaded a few from the Tone Cloud.
I also bought the Glassy pack and found the way it works to be a bit of a disappointment. The amps sound pretty good but they really limited what you can do with them. All of the cabinet models are not available for use with the new amps and there are other things that can't be swapped into the amps. As noted above, the 'save' system is bad too. I'd like to get the Crunch pack too, but I think I will hold off.

What expansion pack? Switches appear to be working fine on the Glassy units.
@MrNezumi
the only items I cannot use are the ones from the other expansion packs (which I haven't bought yet, I'm sure they'll become available once you buy the other packs).
I wonder if they rush-released this because of ToneStack.
@Flo26
Can you describe what the bug does (or doesn't)?
@kgmessier said:
Possible, but if anything, having just dropped $55 on TS (base package plus full unlock) makes me far less excited about $10 packs for BIAS right now. They just didn't think it out very well.
Now they have a couple of problems: (1) The ToneCloud list is populated with a bunch of nice looking amps that actually aren't free, but you can't tell that until you click "download"; and (2) Even if the new amps are terrific, it doesn't help that perception any that they get dumped into a list with 20+ other free amps I've downloaded in "Custom".
(Note: To be clear, I am not buying any of the IAP's for the time being).
