Viktor porof MIDI Tools (possible feedback loop?)

Hello all, another question.

Purchased Viktor Porofs midi tools, specifically to let me record the midi from DrumComputer random patterns, as midi into DRAMBO and then mess with them.

I AM sadly getting a lot of what sounds like midi feedback? I can't really hear the original pattern. Very frustrating, what can I do about this?

  • The first thing you can do is provide details of what you have setup.
Words, screenshots, screen recordings, Drambo specifics, etc.

  • I'm literally putting drum computer on a track within DRAMBO, then dropping MIDI Route after it, starting the pattern and recording. It DOES record midi, but it seems like noisy feedback, too many midi notes being recorded.

Within MIDI ROUTER itself, the settings are basic, and I have tried every combination.

Disconnect the midi input to Drum Computer when MIDI Route is enabled. Disable MIDI Route and reconnect Drum Computer if you want to play it back.

In a rush right now, but I'll try to circle back with more details if that isn't enough to sort it out for you. I'll also be writing up a lot better description of using Streambyter to do the same thing later today.

  • I can't say but most probably your drambo track is recording midi route, which creates a loop. Try to see your drambo track to not receive any midi because by default it records all midi sources.

Not sure if that's what you're after

  • Put it on another midi channel or make Drum Computer not recieve/passthru any midi (click on the module holding Drum Computer as AUv3 and disconnect it’s midi in port from any modules on the left of it) It’s most probably because your midi fell into a loop.

  • Tried this, no success. I'm not sure this is possible but I'll keep at it and try figure it out!

  • Has anyone heard from Viktor recently? I’m a bit worried atom2 will be pulled for lack of updates one day.
