BM2 Midi active for selected only

I have one pad and one keyboard
I assigned midi keys to pads but they work only when pads is selected. If I go to keyboard the pads stop working

As far as I know it is not possible to play/record multiple instruments at the same time with BM2. To my knowledge each instrument needs to be recorded separately and then layered, one at a time.
A workaround would be to program a layered instrument in instrument settings-> mapping-> add new layer, select/assign samples. Maybe others on the forum know of a more ideal solution
I don't have that problem? I was able to assign four tracks to four different midi channels, and then switch between them on my keyboard, regardless of which track was actually selected. Maybe you're in omni mode or something? Then that would make sense.
