Thank you both for the heads up!
Maybe it was because some people didn’t use the editor app to change the sync settings? It can be set to ext, int and auto. I’ve never had any issues personally but I’m just taking a guess that maybe some people try to do everything from the Microbrute when some things need to be done from the editor 🤷🏽♂️
Based on the headline, I thought you were selling one.
So sorry, I had a feeling that might happen.
No problem!
I’ve owned every Arturia synth besides the Polybrute and I’ve loved them all. Only have the Microfreak right now but the MicroBrute is great! Got one back when they first came out and it kick started my love for modular stuff.
Buy some stackable patch cables if you get it so you can do some more patching in the modular bay.
Good idea, thank you 🙏🏻
No prob! Did you decide to get it?
I would go for it. I also got a Microfreak 2nd Hand in the box for £200. Arturia make solid machines. I’ve had trouble registering mine however put a ticket in they asked for serial number photo via email sent them 5 photos now in different emails and under 2 email addresses with no reply. They answer my ticket but can’t answer emails ! Luckily the firmware bang up to date. But need to register it for future updates.
I did and love it, thank you!
Yikes!
I ran into a similar problem.
I’m getting ready to send them a pic now.
Awesome! Glad you like it!
@Stuntman_mike Let us know if you get a email reply back as still waiting this end. Probably going to have to open another ticket as it’s the only way I can get hold of them so frustrating.
I sure will, no response yet. Native Instruments was same day fixing registration for my Maschine. I guess Arturia has a smaller team.
As of 752pm today Diego from Arturia has updated my account with the MicroBrute license.
As long as you don’t play the keyboard and don’t mind not having saved patches it should be fine. I saw one at a used shop a while back and wasn’t overly impressed with it. It seemed a bit flimsy. This was years ago and I already had a Bass Station 2 and was much happier with that, as back then my choice was the micro brute or BS2. The keyboard on the micro brute was terrible, but I can’t do the mini keys. The keyboard on my BS2 was also terrible because who only plays 25 keys and then they are full size so take up more meaningless space? Then you need to get another keyboard just to play it.
Keep in mind they are quite old right now, and I’m not sure if that’s a normal going price for those or not, but it’s worth checking. Also, since they were flimsy it could be in bad shape.
@Stuntman_mike Thats the guy I been talking to they still saying they haven’t received my reply. I sent them 10 emails now under 3 different email addresses with the photo of my registration attached but they came back this morning from the 3rd ticket I opened saying they haven’t received anything. I sent a copy of the email to my wife and she picked it up straight away.
I resorted to contacting them via messenger now on their Facebook page!
Hmm… so strange. I hope they respond to you. Have you checked you outbox and sent box just in case?
Yeah, I like the idea of programming patches every time I fire it up: It will help me improve my sound design and improv skills. I also have a Werkstatt which is the same starting point. I ended up purchasing the MicroBrute and the condition is excellent! I have a multitude of MIDI controllers, but I also don’t mind the native keys for auditioning patches as I make them. It’s a cool little synth for me so far. Thank you for chiming in!
Right, when I decided against the MicroBrute I was in a live band doing cover songs, so really the patch recall was a no brainer after weighing the options.
