Helium's controller lane mystery
I couldn’t seem to send CCs out from Helium.
I recorded CC 20 into Helium’s controller lane and the CCs showed up fine in Helium.
In AUM I routed Helium’s Control Out to AUM’s Midi Control.
But when I tried playing it back, the notes play but nothing happens with the CCs. So I routed Helium’s Control out to mfxMonitor and it confirmed that nothing was being sent from Helium’s Control Out.
Finally after MUCH head scratching I finally figured out that Helium does NOT use it’s own Control Out in AUM but sends CCs through it’s regular midi channel out. What’s the deal with that? Why does Helium’s Control Out appear in AUM’s midi selector if it doesn’t work that way? Or does it and I'm doing something wrong?
Comments
I don’t think that Helium’s Control Out is for sending regular CCs. CCs as with any other midi controlling au simply go out through a regular midi port I guess.
Hmm - seems odd - maybe he just didn't implement that but left the Control Out lane visible in AUM accidentally.
I appreciate your answer, none the less.
