GarageBand usage
How do you record with GarageBand using your other music apps like for drums and synths? Can I import my own samples and loops with gb??
Comments
There are many GarageBand tutorials that cover this information in detail, it can host AUv3 synths and standalone synths that are IAA.
The LiveLoop feature is great for working with loops.
I recommend spending some time on YouTube or with your favorite web search engine to find tutorials.
I’m really trying but every time I open gb all I see is a drum set and I can’t seem to get past that, even when I try to open a new song it’s like this. I have had these apps for a few yrs now but it just seems so confusing
There are tons of tutorial videos , hours and hours of them out there.
Watch them.
@jdolecek49 for GarageBand you can watch all of the Pete Johns videos. It’s a good place to start and you will learn a lot.
Forum members are here to trade opinions and tips, help with troubleshooting and bugs, and share their music. I don’t think anyone is here to be someone’s personal customer service representative. You have to put in the work yourself. The best way to do that is to watch as many tutorial videos as possible. That’s certainly what I did when I started out with iOS music.
Also, you may want to confine your forum communication to one big thread and ask all your questions in one fell swoop. Or ask your questions in already existing relevant threads. Use the search engine, read existing threads, watch tutorials. Usually people start threads because the can’t find the answer. I don’t even think you’re looking.
Hope this is helpful.
Like @JoyceRoadStudios mentioned, start here.

YouTube is definitely the way to go.
