I’m really loving this audio effect. It seems to add an instant amount of grit that hits the spot. In some ways it reminds me of a plate reverb but whatever it is I want more of it. Can anyone tell me more about how this plugin is working or other plugins out there that do this?

The grit you refer to probably comes from the "Gain" which is from a work in progress saturation algorithm. Sounded good so decided to chuck it in for fun. Makes a 70Hz sine wave look like this when at max gain:

Here it is at 0dB of gain:

Higher frequencies will saturate in a different way so it adds that "grit" to the lower frequencies
