Ableton Link not working anymore?
I can't seem to get any of my devices to talk to each other via Ableton Link anymore. I have a Macbook Pro running Live with Link enabled, and when I open up any link enabled app (Loopy Pro, Link to MIDI, Fugue Machine) on either my iPhone or iPad, I do not see any link enabled peers in the Link section. Anyone else been having issues with this these days?

Did you grant network permissions to all your iOS apps when asked?
How are you connected to the network and those other devices?
I haven’t any trouble with link on my Mac and iOS devices
Checked settings on iPad and iPhone for Loopy Pro, "Local Network" is selected for both of them. I'm just connected to my home WiFi network on all devices, nothing special. Just rebooted the iOS devices and still nothing. All should need to do is turn on Ableton Link through Loopy Pro on both devices and the other device should show up, right?
Hmm I just got link working between iPhone and iPad using my personal hotspot, meaning this is an issue with my WiFi network. That's what I was afraid of, that sounds hard to troubleshoot. Any clues?
Are they all connected to the same Wi-Fi network?
Indeed they are, I only have one near me that I can log into.
While if should not be required, see what happens if you turn on network midi on the Mac and devices and join the session on all.
Is your network maybe configured like a guest network – devices can see the internet, but not each other? If you share a folder from your computer, can you see it on the iPad? You should be able to add it to the sidebar in the Files app.

Is this what you're talking about? I don't know how to identify a network port; this guide is a little over my head if that's what you're suggesting I try.
This seems plausible, although similar to espeigel's suggestion I don't fully know what you're suggesting I do to test this. When you say share, do you mean that I go into a folder in Finder on my Mac and try to share it directly to my iPad? I'm only seeing an option to AirDrop.
I found this on the Ableton forum and tried running that command in Terminal, but got some error messages and it did not fix the issue.

Sorry, I'm not a Mac guy. In Winders, you can "share" or publish a folder, then it is visible on the network, and other computers and devices can connect to it. You don't share it to a particular device, just make it visible on the network. But, if your computer can see your iPad for AirDrop, then network devices can see each other, so you should be OK with that.
Edit: The above is not correct. AirDrop uses a temporary point-to-point WiFi connection, not the normal WiFi network. So, availability of AirDrop proves nothing.
Airdrop doesn’t need the network to work. Both devices just need Bluetooth and WiFi on, but they don’t need to be connected to the same network. So, that’s not going to help prove if the network is OK.
Just double-checking here: In Ableton Live is the small box that says Link at the top left blue? It's not enough just to have Link enabled in Live's preferences. If it's not blue then click it to turn Link on.
Devices not seeing each other is the only valid reason I can imagine.
Log into your WiFi router and look for related settings.
Also ... what version of iOS and macOS?
Does link work if you plug your iOS device into your Mac via cable?
I was looking at the Ableton site. The only thing we haven’t covered here is multicast. You didn’t mention if you had successfully used link on this router before?
Overwhelmed by everyone's willingness to help, thanks to all!
Mac OS 11.6.3 Big Sur
iOS 15.5 (iPhone)
iPad 15.3.1
Tried with Stop/Start enabled in Live (blue icon in top left)
Tried plugging iPhone into Mac and using Ableton to run Link and Link to MIDI on iPhone (still did not work)
@Mountain_Hamlet you might be onto something here; I cannot recall the last time I've attempted to use Link and think there's a high probability that it was before I got a new router. What do you know about multicast?
While probably not relevant, you might want to consider upgrading to the current OS (15.5)
Also, check that your router is not blocking some ports that Link might be using.
@auxmux can you give me some direction on how to do that? Between that and multicast it sounds like there's a solution, but I have absolutely no clue how to mess with my router.
@Mountain_Hamlet I updated to 15.5 on the iPad and still no luck, hotspot from my phone is working but that's it.
@skdeish Check how your router can be configured in detail.
If all fails, attach your old or a different model router again and see uf LINK is back to team work.
Another check: "Create WiFi network" on your Mac and connect your iDevices to it.
As @rs2000 mentioned, check if the port 20808 is being blocked by the new router. There may be some default configuration which blocks some ports.
On the Mac you can check System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall > OFF. If it is ON, consider turning it off temporarily. If that fixes it then there are surely ways to add exceptions to the firewall for Link.
If you want to share the make and model of your router, I might be able to look up a manual and provide some pointers where to look for things that could be blocking the Link protocol.
@wim it's the XB7 at this link: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/broadband-gateways-userguides
I did turn off firewalls, still nothing.
OK, and just to check, you're on your own wifi network, not the Xfinity wifi? That's a public hotspot that they enable by default. It has access to the internet only, no access to other devices.
I'm not clear if you mean you turned off firewalls on the Mac or on the Wifi router.
Unfortunately, the only link just points to a getting started guide that has no useful information. However, you can at least try temporarily disabling the firewalls on the router. This page probably has enough information for you to do that: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/advanced-xfinity-wireless-gateway-features.
Just remember to note the existing setting and return the firewall to it immediately after your test, regardless of whether it's successful or not.
I'm reasonably sure that Link is only using IPv4, so select that when given the choice between IPv4 and IPv6.
