Glad to have heard this. Very effective with the video. The symbiosis of film and music always amazes me, the whole usually greater than the sum of its parts.
So much from so little. great work, my kind of madness.
I really loved this piece! I'm inspired to apply minimalism to my next piece of Ambient. Thanks for posting mate.
Inspiring combination of image and audio. Makes me want to try harder.
Think it's the first time I hear (and see) anything whole from you. Very nice and agree with what have been said already above. Keep em coming
Very interesting and captivating video.
Great to watch together with your musical composition.
Wow, piano sound across and into closed door!
You are a very creative creator, and I am enjoying this.
Well done.

@LinearLineman @wag @jwmmakerofmusic @Svetlovska @Pxlhg : thanks for listening and the kind words.
@Pxlhg : I occasionally but pretty rarely post completed tracks -- I can re-post some links in this thread of that would be of interest.
The last couple of years, I have mostly been in an R&D and idea collecting mode -- my hard drive is filling up with ideas to come back to -- most of my music time these days seems to be revisiting things about my playing (I am mostly a guitar player) that have always bothered me.

FWIW, I often arrive at a minimalist end-product despite having a maximalist approach when laying things down. I had a writing teacher in college who said: "for your first draft, barf the words on to the page -- everything that comes to you goes on the page -- don't try to make it good -- just get everything down -- leave it alone for a while then come back and cross out every word, every sentence that doesn't REALLY contribute to what you are trying to communicate. Be honest with yourself and don't be in love with words just because they are on the page."
I read an interview with either Prince or one of his compatriots (maybe Jimmy Jam) talking about the recording of Kiss -- which is pretty minimalist -- and he said, when I go into the studio, I throw everything at a song that I can think of -- but when I mix a song, I take out everything that I can without ruining the feeling.
Over the years, I've realized how often I love spare live performances of songs whose studio recordings are busy and dense.
@ReneAsologuitar : Thanks!
Yes absolutely! Music like yours inspires me!
I've never tried that approach with Minimalism before. I just usually go as sparse as I can from the get-go! I'll have to give your approach a shot! Thanks for sharing mate.
Here are a few more finished tracks from the past:
Dreamcat's Meditation on the Legend of the Midnight Wolf
The Distant Beat of the Devilish Chef
The Long Winter
featuring Mononoke and Volt
Ambient live guitar improv
Night Sands of Rymdigare (ambient guitar live)
I am unsure why the soundcloud links aren't embedding right.
