how to delete duplicate files

I accidentally duplicated an entire folder with subfolders that contained samples. How can I delete the duplicate files without going one by one? (in my files app)

Thanks
Bob

  • Hit the Select button in the top right corner and then tap the first file on the small white circle and drag your finger over the rest of them to delete

    Thanks for the quick reply.
Yes, but in this case I would delete the original files as well. All original files are followed by a copy (1)

  • Write (1) in the search field. This will bring up all the files that have this in their name.

  • Oh shoot, I understand. Heck, I’m not sure bout that, maybe try sorting them by something like name, date, type or something like that. Or maybe even try a different app like Documents app in the store. Maybe it has a better sorting option Good luck

This works, it lists all the duplicates, BUT then the "select" tab top right corner disapears. I knew it was going to become the worst mistake I made sice long
