Loopy PRO / DRAMBO volume issue

Hello folks.

I'm using loopy pro inside DRAMBO, in order to loop certain tracks.

Having a major issue with the volume of loopy people. It records way more quiet than the original Drambo track. Let's say I record a bass loop into loopy pro, then cut the original and play the loop pro recording, it's easily half the volume of the original.

Is there something I'm missing here? My methods is sticking Loopy Pro into a track, and using audio input to choose which track is like to record. Otherwise I haven't touched anything within loopy. Frustrating as the volume is way too quiet!

  • Try setting the level of the track hosting Loopy Pro to 0db or something like that.
The default track levles in Drambo are conservatively set so you won’t blow your ears :sunglasses:

  • Yes, you may be getting doubled-up gain reductions, once going in and once going out. Most 3rd party plugins are automatically quieter in Drambo due to it reducing the send amount to the master track. You just need to adjust a few things to compensate for these changes.

  • Ah excellent, 0db seems to match the original tracks volume bang on, a simple but helpful solution!

  • hello

Is this a question only about Loopy Pro, or is it about Drambo and Loopy Pro in combination?

Can you provide more detail about your export process and how you've determined that the volume is low? There's no inherent problem with Loopy's export levels process, so we just need to figure out where things are going wrong.

Please post a demonstration that shows Loopy’s mixer and all aspects of the issue so we can see the playback levels.

  • it is not using Drambo, when im done with my audio, i export as wav, form there when i listen to the tune on my home pC its very low the volume, even though the volume level in loopy is set at default neutral position, i will show you my mixer as a video file tomorrow, thanks for the help

Do you have an audio editor that can display the waveform to verify it’s actually at low volume?

If by “volume level in Loopy is set at default neutral position”, you mean the fader is set at default, that doesn’t mean anything. If what’s reaching the master is at low level, the output will be low level too. The fader at 0db (“neutral” position) means it’s not boosting or cutting the level. So that can only mean what is arriving at the master out is low somewhere.

    The video should help.
