Isn't She Lovely

A guitar jam of the Stevie Wonder classic, 'Isn't She Lovely' revisiting Nembrini's BG Extasy and Clon Minotaur.
(I'm really struggling these days to choose between the Extasy, Faceman and Overdrive Special - all sound so good!)

Strat -> Nembrini Clon Minotaur -> BG Extasy -> Delay 3000 -> AltiSpace2 (Spring)

  • This is a great arrangement of a classic song. I wouldn't worry too much about the special effects. Your playing trancends those. Im' sure it would sound great whatever you selected. Great guitar playing and track.

  • This is indeed lovely.

  • Really love that tone combined with the reverb. Just a classic sound and your playing really gives it life. Great thumbnail choice, too.

  • Hi pbelgium,
I simply love guitars, and this recording is heaven to me.
You can play your guitar, and make it really sing.
Great choice of song for this type of playing.
    Well done, and great recording.

  • Thanks for listening @Paulieworld @Blipsford_Baubie @MadeofWax @ReneAsologuitar as always, much appreciated.

    That does save time.

I hit 2 Stevie’s in a row on the creative list today.

  • 👍, a bit too much reverb. Still love this song…

  • Thanks @GeoTony @McD @Franketti - agreed about the reverb.

  • I’ve been revisiting and revising old tracks these days. Every one I remix I remove all the doodads and left with the result of something much better. Of course three years ago I was enamored with the synths and fx.

This track would certainly stand alone without the drums and reverb. Your natural sound would be just as satisfying, if not more, I imagine.

  • Thanks @LinearLineman. Au naturel is better but sometimes it’s just more comfortable and too easy to cover up sonic blemishes with a layer of cosmetic doodahs.

  • @pbelgium : very nice playing.

  • Love this. One of my all time favorite songs. That guitar tone is very good.

  • Thanks for listening @espiegel123 @HotStrange one of my favourites too. Great chords/melody & harmonica solo, and I love the stop riff - I took the liberty of changing the key (from E to A) so I could play the riff as low as possible on the guitar.
