edited July 2022 in General App Discussion

Hi,

love Pure Acid very much, but now, i need more synths for making 90s technotracks.

Emmanuel Top, Noom Records, Legend B, Jones & Stephenson, Bonzai Rec. and so one..

I would appreciate every recommendation.

  • Sunrizer, NLog Pro Synth, the SynthMaster apps, FAC DrumKit, Bram Bos Hammerhead, and Poison 202.

  • Gadget + imono/poly

  • I'd throw in BM3 in the mix for sampling duties which was quite a boom back in the 90s.
You could see it as a "Roland W30" sampling keyboard which was quite popular back then...

  • Judicious use of BitJuggler and RX950 for that lower bitrate touch.

If you like Pure Acid, GR-16 might be the next logical step

  • Thank you, all.

BM3 + Sunvox (or VividTracker / Pixitracker) for extra 90s flavor

Yep... GR-16 would be a no-brainer... and Poison
If you have the whole JimAudio set, you get +3 on your 90s critical hits

  • P-202 is awesome and I’m also using this one a lot lately https://apps.apple.com/us/app/bleass-monolit/id1589410030

I'd add Squaresynth 2 as 'sampler fodder' (pass it thru a couple of effects before sampling) :sunglasses:

    Oooh great one!

The fairlight may not be a staple of 90's dance scene, but it was still used in movie soundtracks a fair bunch.
I guess it would be awesome in some dancefloor tracks

  • Poison 202

Yep, Gadget would've been my first grab too.
Dublin and Chicago for all the Acid goodness, Chiangmai for a bit of FM cream and London + Recife + lots of FX for the beats.
