It just popped out…

… of the Piano Motifs app after 2 or 3 presses of the generate button with everything set to default.
Pointed it at Ravenscroft 275 for the accompaniment and BeatHawk Fretless Vibrato for the Melody.
Played SWAM Soprano Saxophone via GeoShred. 1st and only take but I was happy 😊

  • Wow. Most excellent sax line, great expressivity. The one take wonderment of it all. That’s where it happens, IMO.

  • Beautiful!!

  • Wow, really nice playing. A very sincere performance - well done!

  • When the sax got into the higher registers I got chills. You have definitely honed your GeoShred/ SWAM saxophone playing to an amazing level. A sensational performance.

  • Very nice!

  • Really great!

  • Nice one! Very silk smooth.

  • Outstanding Geoshred performance! Great composition. This sounds like live musicians improvising a new song. I liked it very much!

  • Nice one Tony!

Nice playing, man. Are you using the IAP version of SWAM Sax or are you triggering the standalone SWAM Sax app using GeoShred?

  • Thanks @LinearLineman , @orchid , @Daveypoo , @MadeofWax , @Franketti , @Dav , @Identor , @Paulieworld , @Edward_Alexander and @NeuM .
It’s nice to get comments from Old Masters and Young Pretenders… I’ll let you decide which category (if any) you fit into 😊
Ironically given the recent excellent homage by @LinearLineman to Coltrane, the SWAM preset I used for this was Trane which seems to give a bit more feeling out of the box.
It is the stand alone Soprano SWAM @NeuM , Breath and Key noise set to full and a little vibrato.

^ I have found it exceedingly difficult getting a reliably consistent performance connecting GeoShred with standalone SWAM apps. Wish it was an easier process.

  • Pretty stable for me @NeuM , You need to use the GeoShred Default Preset in SWAM and the MIDI Out IOS SWAM preset in GS as per screenshot… apologies if teaching you how to suck eggs 🥚

No, appreciate the response. Part of the problem is I use the iPad using IDAM and connecting to GarageBand on a desktop computer, not just keeping it all on an iPad. I use the iPad as an external ‘instrument’/controller keyboard instead of a MIDI keyboard. There are usually issues (dropouts, delays, etc.).

  • Wow, that was beautiful, my favorite of yours I’ve heard yet
