I never thought I'd need to redownload Lumafusion, but...

...the Blue Angels flew around the skies of my city today! 🤩

Okay, so I was in the middle of producing a piece of Ambient called "Visit to Europa" (to be released soon), and suddenly I heard jet engine sounds. I thought "this is bad-ass", because I thought it was a part of the track! It wasn't.

A group of jets called the Blue Angels practiced in the air for the upcoming air show here in Milwaukee! I saw them fly by my window, and I had to head to the rooftop deck to get some footage! They'll also be performing Saturday AND Sunday at 3-4pm, so I'll be getting EVEN MORE footage! Then I'll edit the footage together in Lumafusion and build a piece of Ambient around it.

  • Ambience is all around us. Reality offers limitless options for source materials.

I live near a military installation and the Blue Angels like to fly a few hundred feet over their superiors when they are doing air shows somewhere nearby.

It’s an experience I won’t wish on anyone with good ears or pets. Well into the range of hearing loss I’ll bet. It’s a shit your drawers event and should be a criminal act. We’re also in the flight path for the local airport 5 miles away that runs flights starting at 5AM to midnight. To expand they need to add more hours. I should just wear limiter headphones like those airplane traffic dudes do.

I laughed too hard at this

I need to make you laugh because my wife is held together with a 10 inch row of stomach staples. It’s dangerous to laugh and that’s my go to when life gets too real.

Yep, they sure are cocky, lol.

🤣 Yep, or some serious soundproofing. That's rough.

In 7 years we have had maybe 4 Post Aerobatic Stress Tests but I can sleep through jet noises. We run a white noise box on high to raise the noise floor and make the jet less noticeable.

For your current passion I think you’d get an album out of processing various noise generators… like AM radios.

Once you stretch it and use Gauss aiming for a drone it’s not recognizable.

Commercially, ambience Muzak is being touted for health benefits:
