Is there an auv3 app
that can function as an Aux?
I need to be able to send audio out and then return it as an insert
in Cubasis 3 as Cubasis 3 doesn't have proper Aux's yet.
I have something working which is doubling up the tracks that
I want to effect outside of the box and listening back to them via AUM
whilst Cubasis 3 is in the foreground.
Comments
ApeMatrix includes a Mixer Send Receive AUv3 that works in other hosts without needing ApeMatrix open.
I'm not sure I understand correctly, but maybe the visual swift transmitter and receiver apps?
@CalCutta
Thanks for that.
Good to know.
@prtr_jan
I've just tried Visual Swift as a transmitter and receiver and
it doesn't do that or I don't know how to do it yet.
Basically I'm trying to create a send and returns in Cubasis 3
to route audio out to my outboard from Cubasis 3 and back in.
Okay, I've tested Visual Swift's transmit and receive properly.
It works as long as one switches off multi-core processing in Cubasis 3.
Wireless AUV3
I noticed that there's other stuff that goes crackling in Cubasis with multicore turned on (but I forgot what it was).
Yes! (when the new beta arrives)
@prtr_jan
Though it sends audio wirelessly this doesn't do what I need it to do.
I've already spoken to someone and they've stated that auv3 apps
cannot access an external audio interface.
What I need to happen needs to be done at host level
and Cubasis 3 doesn't have the necessary routing.
Even the send and receive utilities that both ApeMatrix and Visual Swift
have available cannot do it because auv3 apps are sandboxed.
Anyway I've figured out a workaround.
Thanks for your assistance.
You're welcome (even if it didn't get you there
).
Good to hear you have a workaround (now curious about that).
Still not sure whether I understand what you're trying to achieve, but visual swift rx and tx can also send/receive between different hosts/daws. (for instance from loopy/drambo standalone to AUM)
@prtr_jan
I'm not trying to send audio from app to app.
I'm routing signals out via my external audio interface
and then monitoring the outboard via AUM because
I can't do this with Cubasis 3.
I can do it using both dRambo and AUM natively without need for a plug-in or app.
Clear!
