USB-C hub recommendation for iPad Air 4
Hi all,
I have been searching for a USB-c hub for my iPad Air 4 so I can use it with my midi keyboard and controller (USB-a both), while charging the Ipad at the same time.
I didn't want to spend more than 35 pounds, if possible.
What I thought it would be an easy decision, it is turning quite tricky tbh.
The ones I had eyed first, are reported to have a few issues such as ports not working, poor durability...Some users even described how some of these hubs destroyed the port connection or the iPad itself.
This one I have just found seems to tick all the boxes but a power delivery charger is not included:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker-PowerExpand-Delivery-Ethernet-Chromebook/dp/B07PPGWQ15
I would really appreciate any recommendations as I am at a bit of a loss on which one to buy.
Many thanks

Hi. I don't believe PD chargers are generally included with these hubs. You can select your own, based on your power requirements.
If you don't need ethernet/SD card/HDMI, you could look for one like this one, which just has regular USB ports, and PD.
Or this one, which has a longer cable, minimizing dongle pull on the iPad port.
Or this one, which has a detachable cable, so you can determine the length.
All three of these have been recommended by posters on this forum. They're worth a look.
Anker is usually good quality. I have bought lots of their cables and chargers, and never had a problem.
IMO it’s worth getting something decent for this kind of thing. Whenever I have gone cheap, I’ve always ended up having to buy again.
Thanks for the recommendations and advice I hadn't thought about the importance of the cable length or the detachable option.
I will definitively invest a bit more to get one of these better quality hubs.
That uni one looks neat!
