Interview with Staffpad app creator David William Hearn

Very music educator focused but useful clues re:Staffpad productivity and design policies.

Between the 2 voices it sounds like the playback is at 1.25 speed.

No Staffpad futures but the section on adding libraries is informative. The library vendor provides the audio clips and Staffpad bolts on the articulation mappings. It doesn’t sound like trivial effort.

No clues on how MuseScore works with them if at all. It was a purely business decision probably to pay back investors and keep the doors open (I.e. meet payroll for on-going development).

    True. I’ll probably listen to more of the podcasts since I started out as a Music Educator and left to make more money and NOT do those damn half-time shows for a living. He teachs middle school but the skill level would drive me crazy.
