That's a beautiful Martin. Some 000-28 signature edition?

Have you generated enough revenue to break even? $20 can get me 2 days of Coffee and a breakfast sandwich so I want to know... is there an audience out there. I mean it take millions of streams to pay back $20 right? I try not to let my ego get tested in such discrete metrics like downloads or streams. (Sneaks off to check his soundcloud stats. Yes! 10 more just today). I do give soundcloud something like 6 months X $20 to just store my stuff and treat me like a member of the audience by presenting the work of everyone else when I only care to monitor my shit. I live to navel gaze.

    Hi McD,
I just started with Distrokid about 2 weeks, and stats do not start until about 2-3 months, they say.
You are absolutely correct about millions of streams before getting into breakeven numbers.
This digital music distribution and production is quite competitive, and for small folks like me, this deal at 20 dollars is quite attractive, as long as I do not get swayed into all the available upgrades. And this really forces me to be prolific, and take advantage of the unlimited upload offer.
This venture of music production is an evolving thing for me at this time, and I am trying this crazy world of music publishing, just for kicks. ( I not not going to miss 20 bucks, and I will gain a lot of fun with my 20.
Any comment and recommendation from you would be much appreciated.

By the way, I am also trying Bandcamp, as this is a "free" thing, with bandcamp keeping about 15% of any profit, which we already know, that it is very hard to get to even 20 dollars.

    Thanks McD!!!
    Respectfully,
    Rene

    Hi Liquidmantis,
    Thanks for your wonderful feedback.

  • Great rendition! Soulful!

  • I like your version very much. Your covers take the best of the originals yet are delivered in a distinct, authentic way. A great balance. Keep it up!

  • BandCamp is free (they take a small piece of sales). I have 54 albums archived there…. and I’ve earned three years of Distrokid from it. Like free storage of my junk.

    Hi LinearLineman,
    I will definitely try Bandcamp.
    Wow, 54 albums. Very impressive.
That might be at least 300 songs, at least.
And you earned? much much??? 3 years of Distrokid???
    You are awesome, Mike!!!
