“The Hindu Kush 5K”
This started with Piano Motifs. It’s driving a string section using KQ Sampei that got buried in the mix.
Then I added a couple Noise instances and a Mid East drummer. Damn I named it later and the Indian drummer would match the title. Maybe relocate the 5K to Dubai?
Oh well… just a little iPhone boredom creation.

This is a really nice.
Soothing.
I didn't know whether I should've been on the beach
watching the waves or dancing with the dervishes
so I'm writing this instead and whilst writing this
soundcloud played this next track automatically...
This one is also really cool.
If it wasn't so late I'd pick my guitar and play along with it.
Enjoyable listening.
Thank you.
I really like the synth sound you’ve chosen for this. It really pairs well with the Middle Eastern flavor of the piece.
Looks like the temperatures in Dubai are about the same as they are here in Texas, so I’m gonna have to give a hard pass on the 5k but I’ll enjoy listening to this a time or two.
That track got a heart so it always gets played after anything in my catalog. I got so sick of hearing it that I almost deleted it. I could download and re-up but I haven’t after 30 times you’ll hate it as much as I do. The bassline comes from one of my Mozaic scripts and it will attack me at odd moments (like Kato in the Pink Panther) when I load the script and use the default sequence.
Those drums are also being sequenced by a Mozaic script. It sounds like one of those Klevgrand kits but it could just be general midi too.
That was also a hospital waiting situation made on my phone. It passes the time but isn’t the most interesting music… posting creations was like playing tag. “your turn”.
Good times.
@Gravitas thanks for taking the time. It’s appreciated. It’s better than singing while in solitary… you get feedback by Morse code tapped on the plumbing.

Hi McD,
Nonetheless, it is a creation, and I love the Hindi touch.
Actually, quite relaxing. I feel like floating in air and being transported.
I like this.
Well done!!!

For some oddball odd reason, this reminded me of...
Sam with the showing scalp flat top,
particular about the point it made.
Why, when I was knee-high to a grasshopper,
this black juice came out on a hard shelled chin.
And that called that ‘tobacco juice’.
I used to fiddle with my back feet music for a black onyx.
My entire room absorbed every echo.
The music was… THUD LIKE. The music was… THUD LIKE.
I usually played such things as rough-neck and thug.
Opaque melodies that would bug most people.
Music from the other side of the fence.
A black swan figurine lay on all color lily pads.
On a little conglomeration table of pressed black felt.
With same color shadows, and obscene knob knees and what-nots.
The long hallway rolled out into oddball odd.
Beside the fly-pecked black doorway,
that looked closed on the tar-lattice street.
Up a wrought iron fire escape.
Rolled out a tiny wooden platform with
dark... hard... dark... rubber wheels.
Roll, skreek! Roll, skreek! Roll, skreek!
Sam with the showing scalp flat top,
particular about the point it made.
Sam was a BASKET CASE!
A hardened dark ivory clip held saleable everyday pencils.
I wish I had a pair ‘o bongos!
Bongo Fury! Bongo Fury!
Oowwwww! Bongo Fury!
Bongo Fury! Bongo Fury!
I should have got it from “Bongo Fury”. I had to Google to find the Cap’n Beefheart lyrics. Now I need to re-live the music and see if I get it too.
S’good. Like the orchestral hits. Some drum fills would have been welcome. Could become drumcentric then. That would be Kushy.
@McD Post Removed, please see dm.
Really cool track, is there a such thing as Funk/Lounge Music, if not you may have just created it, lol.
.
I’ll just remove mine now and send him a dm. Cheers @Gavinski
@Poppadocrock 👍
Very enjoyable, Middle Eastern / Indian rhythms always get my toes tapping. I thought the high pitched swooping strings were fantastic… I’ll pinch that idea if I can work out how to do it😊
I will explain those string swoops: velocity keyboard app using MPE keyboard mode (which GEoShred was made for) into ROLI Noise with one of the Hydrid Acoustic or Fundamental (Beauty Strings) presets. An octave slide in Velocity Keyboard creates a blended swoosh. MPE sends these portmento events as +/- 12 step pitch bends. My Steel Guitar Pro as a MIDI controller Mozaic hack can also send these pitch bends to any app that supports a bend range of 12 or more steps.
Go microtonal and amaze your friends… any synth can go fretless +/- 2 steps but the really cool ones can handle octaves. Ya’ mah-n.
