Valley of Indecision

This one was a challenge. It was a couple other songs before turning out like this. Took me awhile. Lost some parts of the song I probably didn’t need anyway. Could be much better, but I learned a thing or two from it. For me, that is the point in doing this(I think).

I mangled my voice to sound like an instrument with Gauss and Koala fx. It is mostly hidden in the mix. Monolit, Drambo, Steel Guitar Pro, Tera Pro…thank you

  • You are correctly taking this challenge head on!!!
Learning from this challenge is the best way of making wins, as new methods and ways of making music gets in your system.
    Way to go, myapologies!!!
I like this recording, myself, especially the hidden voice instrumentation.

  • Very nice, enjoyed that one. Very ‘ethereal’…
Your process sounds a lot like some of my pieces where I seem to throw away 95% of what I started with 😊
I now accept that if I learn something from the experience then it’s been worth it 👍

  • I like that every track is different and doesn’t neatly fit into a genre. I’m being interviewed by a Danish jazz writer and I find myself talking about the importance of originality (mostly to me). Keep it up, bro. You’ve been working on the railroad.

  • @GeoTony , @LinearLineman, thanks, dudes. Man, my little kids were screaming and running around all week. I should sample them. I didn’t keep up with your music and haven’t even started my next yet. And I need to listen to @Spidericemidas, @Wag, @rottencat, @Svetlovska, and more. The list keeps growing. Like Ben Affleck’s character from the forgettable action movie “the accountant”, multitasking isn’t really my thing, but must adapt and learn. I will catch up. @LinearLineman, I HAVE been doing my 15 minutes on the railroad each day. I really do aspire to be skillful and creative like you guys. Your comments mean a lot to me, especially now. Thank you very much!

  • This is an odd piece of music.

    I like odd.

In this case, I like it very much.

    Well done, @myapologies!

  • It's like a conversation between ethereal beings and spirits gathered in a clearing of an ancient woodland at dawn 😀👍
