Excellent! Michael one thing I noticed is that if using the beta it seems not to give me access to the full version - if I press purchase in the beta will it restore the purchase for free - it seems to want to charge me?
Wow, this thread brings us many improvements in LoopyPro!
On side I tell, I use now LoooyPro as drum loops player in auv3 under Drambo (at this point, because everything is constantly changing), and project LoopyPro is in size about 2500MB. I saved it in LoopyPro and it’s working, but during load/save in Drambo, or when switching to Safari, LoopyPro auv3 flush out project and it is “error” in ‘Drambo - ‘I must reload auv3 LoopyPro and load this big subproject. I know I reached limit on my ipadPro 4-th generation (6TBram), but I wrote it in asking maybe disk streaming could be taken to account somehow? I’m glad that @Gavinski helps to discover this small anomalies with scaling auv3 parameters, I never know when I will be in use this in my projects. 🤝 @Michael ❤️
Good lord! A 2.5gb Loopy Pro project!
@espiegel123 Yes, I am sure that Viking requests log scaling for cutoff. Back when I encountered this, I complained to Blamsoft, and they confirmed it (not our problem). I then contacted Michael, who agreed it was his problem. If you try it in AUM, you'll see that it works correctly; CC value of 64 gives frequency 502, just above 490, the geometric mean of 20 and 12000 Hz. I used LK's controller routed to MIDI Control, and MIDI-mapped the Cutoff parameter.
Edit: Drambo's AUv3 parameter mapping also ignores the logarithmic scale mode. CC value 64 gives Cutoff of 6000 Hz, half the 12,000 range.
@szczyp : out of curiosity, can you export the clips from that project and see how much space the exported clips use? I have some projects where the project is several times larger than the clips…and I wonder if that is the case here.
Sure, with pleasure! First time I used export clips function, it is working great and fast.
LoopyPro siad 2223MB, and after export I moved folder with exported files to Documents by readdle, it shows 831MB.
So I tried to compare outputted Files with the oryginals.
If I asked LoopyPro for export project file it says 490MB.
For comparision oryginal audio source files are in size about 570MB.
In the project I put many different files, deleted some of them multiple times, again inserted - usual work - and at the end the project was listed in loopy as over 2 GB with about 340 files.
Thank you for interesting in this, we all can help together🤝
This project is just huge “metronome” with different drum loops in many styles, normally I used ableton but loopypro is excellent at this task also.
Interesting! Are there any save points in that project?
Yes, 44 save points and almost = 1400MB.
How to understand differences: total project over 2,2GB, save points about 1,4GB, source data about 600MB, exported loops about 800MB, exported project about 480MB?
Anyone like me in need of an only one button selected out of group of buttons?
like on Drambo‘s “p. lock “ letters
That's coming very soon. You can fake it by adding multiple actions to buttons to turn other buttons off, but soon you won't have to. It may require the next "12-month" updates bucket though if you've owned the app for more than 12 months. Maybe.
Another way to fake it is dummy clips. If you put empty clips in a group that is one at a time and set a play action, they will act like radio buttons.
Is the Loopy Pro manual currently fully up to date?
Largely. Those parts that aren’t complete are mostly parts that are fair self-explanatory. If you have questions, I am sure someone will answer them.

Thanks Ed!
I would like to be able to lock an AU container. You open an AU, resize and reposition it to taste, activate the lock symbol and the container stays in place. The container can still be opened and closed but cannot be resized or repositioned while the lock is activated. Perhaps a menu setting or two lock symbols would enable you to individually lock the resize or reposition function. When using Loopy Pro as a MIDI controller / performance screen in AUM this enables you to nifty open and close AU’s within Loopy Pro (running in AUM). That’s the in my view simplest solution.
Another idea could be the addition of locked pages in AUM. You create a performance screen by resizing, repositioning your AU’s. Somewhere in AUM (left of the bookmarks f.e.) there are some buttons to add a performance page. By activating this function, all containers are locked in place on that specific page. By switching pages you get instant access to several functions without the hassle of constantly opening, resizing and repositioning. Off course there would still be the current mode.
Within Loopy Pro I would like to see the option to hide certain controls when used within AUM. The transport, tempo, edit buttons etc. are not always needed and can be a waste of space i.m.o.
Let me be clear, I have lots of respect for both developers and both programs are great as they are. But if could wish for something, the above would be on my wishlist.
@Bietfriek : I suggest visiting the roadmap page and adding your feature requests there;
https://roadmap.loopypro.com/
thanks for the info . I'll definitely buy the next update.
What's would that feature be called?
@espiegel123 thanks for the tip. might try eventhou it sounds confusing .
