Moving Funds from Mac Store to App Store

Hey Kids

I've searched unsuccessfully for the answer to this which may mean it's not possible. I stupidly redeemed a voucher on my Mac in the desktop store thinking the funds would be available across all stores as I wanted to use it for App store purchases. Alas this is not the case. Is there any way to transfer it?

    It's all in your account, no matter if you're looking at the iOS App Store or the macOS App Store. What I've found is it usually takes a few days to populate the other App Store (probably just a quirk of Apple's servers).

    No matter which App Store you used to redeem the money, it's available to you in both. Just keep in mind how much money you have left.

    Ok, it’s so hard to tell as I don’t see any balance in the mobile store. I’ll buy something and check I guess. I know this is dumb but where is the easiest place to see you credit balance?

    I needed a lot of time to discover it‘s shown when you tap the your account icon
    (on the top right corner of app store on iPad... I‘m on IOS12, though)

    Hey Telefunky, that's were I expected it however there's no $ amount anywhere to be seen. In fact nothing on the Mac store as well. Hmm could I have spent it all? Don't think so. I am starting to sound more like an idiot with each post :)

    Update. Just redeemed a new gift card and redeemed on the iPad and it now shows credit in both stores. I fear this was all a mix of user error and poor UX. Apologies if I've wasted anyone's time and thanks for chipping in regardless!

    Tha Mac AppStore often has the incorrect amount of funds available on the main AppStore screen, you have to login to your account details to display the correct amount.
