You weren’t joking @Spidericemidas you were about as up close as possible without being on stage lol.

Dude they kick ars. I just watched like 5 videos and really enjoyed their stuff. Never heard of them, but I have a few friends I know will love this. I like a few jam bands per se, but it is not necessarily my favorite genre. OT are on another level, and have a nice heavier side to their sound then most “jam bands” do.

    Ikr! 😍🤩
That was a once in a lifetime lucky chance for me.
The venue was practically on my doorstep and the setting was about as intimate as one could ever dream of.

I saw them once at Glastonbury festival in 1993 as tiny figures in the distance across the massive field of people. So to finally get as ridiculously close as this to my most loved and respected band was beyond words!
I've followed them since around 1990, they've been going since about 1983!

There's no way I could put into words what the Ozrics and their music mean to me, but pretty much every day on the way to and from work, I still rotate through their 20-something albums!
Their synth work and sound designs are what really gets me. Ed is quite remarkable on both synths and guitars. Just love him to bits ❤

If you like their kick arse side, check out Myriapod and The High Pass and Kick Muck. Just soooo damn good! 😃

    Thanks for the comment! 👊😉

  • Such a great band live too. Saw them at Glastonbury once and at a free festival about 5 years later.

Nice one. Their roots are in free festivals. Very much a live band first and foremost over the years. I think their music has been so consistently superb since they first started.

They definitely seem to play a varied bag of gigs. Not just the ticket only affairs that most bands play.

  • @Spidericemidas one of the videos I watched was them playing and being interviewed at Glastonbury ’93. Weird coincidence, huh… I bet that show was an amazing experience.

Thanks for the recommendations too. I will definitely check those out.

Listen to Curious Corn too. That song makes me want to drive a Bugatti on the autobahn. So amazing!!! I remember my first Ozric album Jurassic Shift when it was just coming out, never been the same guy anymore. Other bands that play the same style are Mantric Muse, Colorstar, Quantum Fantay and Gracerooms.

Check out too Korai Orom a band that Ed considers a huge influence and don't forget Steve Hillage Green

Haha yeah I was somewhere out there in that huge crowd. It was a great night. The Orb played right after the Ozrics! 🤩

That's the one, I believe. If you scroll down in that gig list, it was June 26th 1993. My hair was down to my arse and I wore tie dye shirts, pmsl, and I was obsessed with playing flutes and didgeridoos, lol 🤣😅 Total hippie ✌️😜

Hahahah...awesome. At that time in my life I was all about finding my inner self through meditation, Alan Watts, certain Leary qualified supplements, and losing myself in Skinny Puppy, Ministry, Dead Can Dance, The Orb and FSOL...oh the memories...well, fragments of memories
