  • Ives. Central Park In The Dark. Off to bed with this in my head.

  • 5:1

    PLUS:
    1. Ravenscroft is the piano for serious work.
    2. You make it sound better than any generator or MIDI file can. You become it's brain.
    3. Just when I get bored (short attention span... like seriously short... SQUIRREL!
    4. Oh after I get bored you add extra instruments like synths or strings or bass drum(?) to pull me back into the "here and now" of music.
    5. at the 1/2 way mark you pull out all the stops in a desperate attempt to keep me alert.

    Things I'd like changed:
Can I get a new brain this decade, Elon? I'd rather have that than a rocket to Mars so help me out. (Neuralink reference... it's not a brain it's like a cabling standard for the brain to control model railroad trains and these new cheap E-bikes you see everywhere go too fast controlled by people that are not that good on a bike.

  • Thanks @Paulieworld I’m a fan of Ives. My teacher, Connie Crothers, made that association, too. He would have loved an iPad instead of those cheap, after hour, vaudeville bands he had to hire. Though that kind of band might have served very well for his poly keyed concoctions,

@McD, Neuralink is impressive. Too bad Musk no longer is.

  • I remember the first time I heard this. It was part of a Buckinghams pop tune called 'Susan'. Local radio stations started to edit it out, but I loved it. I searched for years trying to find out what it was. I was only about 12 or 13 at the time. Long before search engines. I was concerned that you would not like the comparison. I'm glad we're on the same page.

  • Hi LinearLineman,'
This is my lullaby, and I am just relaxing with this music.
    Your music is getting sophisticated.
Simple and plain is lovely and beautiful as well.
    Great work.

  • @Paulieworld, I’m sure we’re on the same page about a lot of things.😎🙏
Thanks @ReneAsologuitar, actually,I recorded this three yrs ago. Ikve been revisiting some of the better ones and doing what you’re liking, cutting out all the synths I was enamored with. Glad you like it.
