Gadget 2 won’t open (solved)

I got inspired by some recent posts and thought I’d open up Gadget and give it a run. Only problem is that it won’t open.

Does anybody have an idea as to how to get around this issue?

The iPad is an M1 11” with iOS 15.5 installed. I have tried removing and reinstalling the app, but I encounter the same problem.

I looked in the ips file in the analytics and found this in the messages:
[2,4562042880],"type":"EXC_BAD_ACCESS","signal":"SIGBUS","subtype":"KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x000000010feb4000"},

But, I don’t know enough about Gadget to know if this a normal thing.

I’ll see if I can report this to Korg direct.

  • Figured it out.
I had my audio interface plugged in while it was initialising for the first time. It doesn’t like that.
So, I disconnected the interface from the iPad and I was able to go through the initialisation process for the first time.
Plugged the interface back in and now it works.
    Thanks for your time.

  • If nobody else here has had it, and there is nothing coming out of your web searching I would think that’s it’s just an unlucky glitch that has occurred that is unique to yourself.

You could try a deleting Gadget - soft reset - update to 15.6 - reinstall Gadget.

Failing that if your stuff is all backed up you could go for the good old hard reset - that usually clears off the barnacles.
