USB C extension Cable for IPad Pro M1
Can anyone recommend a usb extension cable ? I have a iPad Pro 11 3rd Gen M1 256GB. I also getting a Kingston Nucleum USB C hub.
I would like to extend the hub to stop strain on the iPad usb C port.
Any UK users can recommend what you are using.
I’ve seen the Cable Creation ones in the US Amazon store was wondering if there is a UK equivalent that works ?

I bought a nucleum last year for my air 4 and ordered a 0.5m ugreen extension.

Works great, nucleum is under the desk on a cable tray and i have just enough enough extension to connect to my iPad on a stand
Edit: the cable is a little on the stiff side. Suits my use case.. I was a bit surprised it wasn't as flexible as a standard usb cable.
Check out a company called "Lention". They make the usual usb-c dongles with usb-a, hdmi, power-delivery and such. Some of these come with a 3 feet (1meter) cable. I'm using one of these with my M1 ipad and my shiny new M2 mac air without hassle. Do a search for "Lention long cable usb-c digital av multiport adapter..." on amazon or so.
Cheers guys for the suggestions
@Jumpercollins just so you're aware: another option is to use a hub with a detachable cable, these are available in Amazon UK:
I've been happy using this one with an Apple USB-C cable, but it doesn't seem to be available in the UK: https://uniaccessories.com/collections/union/products/uni-usb-c-6-in-1-hub-1
That Uni hub is brilliant! many thanks.
You're welcome! I would add that I've had it since May 2021, and my iPad is almost permanently connected to it, just to give one data point regarding its reliability.
I have a couple of the Cable Creation ones and they work great.
These:

I also bought these right angle adapters to keep it lower profile when connected to the iPad:

If anyone can find one of these that works as an extension cable please let us know, the 2 i bought don’t work with the CCK:
Cheers @echoopera would of pulled the trigger on them but not available this side of the
pond in the UK.
Here ya go mate:

I tried several different extension cables and the CableCreations were the only ones I found that worked reliably and worked in either orientation. Most of the others now actually say they only work in one orientation and to flip it if it's not working, which is really annoying to me. Others were unreliable with power or data. So while the CableCreation extensions are kinda clunky, it must have better electronics in the box.
Cheers @echoopera I actually brought a UGreen one for now see how that goes. We get ripped off over here that’s a bit steep price wise! Seeing what they are in the States. Thanks for looking. I took up your advice and got a Kingston Nucleum Hub. Quick test works a treat.
@echoopera Is there any way of using the HDMI slot to a monitor and a audio interface at the same time as it appears Apple recognises the monitor as a audio device so you can only use 1 at a time which is a shame as would of been great if I could use my monitor and audio interface together?
Does it work if you plug your interface in after the monitor? Also, some monitors that provide audio have a menu setting to disable it. That might prevent it from being detected as an audio device.
Not sure. I haven't tried that kind of setup.
@Liquidmantis Cheers for the advice will give that a go.
