A TB Flowtones thing: After The Angels Came

Think you know what an Angel looks like? Think again:

“Their entire bodies, including their backs, their hands and their wings, were completely full of eyes…” Ezekiel, 10:12

Not to mention them having three extra animal faces as well as human ones. And four legs. Oh - and they flew accompanied by “fiery crystalline interlocking wheels” which tracked their every move like nightmare hellscape supernatural drones. Which they probably were. There’s a reason those ancient shepherds and nomads were terrified by angelic visitations. Lovecraft might have recognised them as something… other - than angels…

Almost everything on the track, including the doom drum, is from the lovely TB Flowtones synth - very rich, complex sounds. Just a little soupçon of Steel Guitar Pro sprinkled over the top. As usual:
Enjoy, comment, or ignore as you see fit. Chin chin!

*the AI art, btw, is taken from a direct text input of the biblical passage. It knows something we don’t…

Comments

  • Oh boy… this is great! Is flowtones a biblically accurate synth!? “Be not afraid” I’m sorry but I am!! Excellent dread

  • Perfect soundtrack for the Ezekiel 10 epiphany. Wow. Trembling in awe before the vision and your incredible sound designing skills mate!

  • Ha! that description does indeed sound like an AI render. I hope you're human. I'd like to think something this interesting is really originating from a human brain.

  • Very cinematic, and intensely dramatic soundscape.
I love your creativity and sense of magnificence on this angelic creation.
    Lovely.
    Rene

  • This is one of my favorites of your songs heard thus far. Embodies and fulfills the vision/description perfectly. I felt the otherworldly terror

  • Definitely evokes a sense of dread and awe. Whenever my self imposed app buying embargo ends I will have to give TB Flowtones a try. Rich complex sounds indeed. Great post!

  • Entrancing and quite powerful.

    Fine work @Svetlovska!

“Be not afraid” indeed! :) Hey all, thanks for the listens and those kind words! Makes it all feel worthwhile :)

I think I was still coming down from my exposure to the (literally) awesome soundtrack to the movie Saint Maud I saw a few days ago. Such massive, emotionally wrenching and unique sounds in that by Adam Janota Bzowski. This piece (with some light spoilers for the movie) grapples with what makes that soundtrack so good:

Now I want to know more on the technical side, how exactly the sound design and the score for the movie were made…

  • Excellent track @Svetlovska , one of your best pieces I think 🙏

  • Strewth. Excuse me while I gibber in a corner for a while…

  • Missed this one...love it!

  • @GeoTony @bygjohn @lasselu : thanks all for the listens and those kind words. Attention is the only currency these pieces will ever earn, and so it really means a lot to me when people notice them Yes, apologies @lasselu, I have been a little incontinent lately on the postings. Need to calm down a bit and take a warm bath! :) I don’t want to wear out my welcome… Plus, it will soon be time to refocus on the Vampyr project.

This piece is excellent! Do you remember me mentioning Saint Maud to you months ago? One of the standout movies of the past ten years for me, in any genre. I can totally picture this track being used in that movie.

Wow! @Svetlovska I was going to say the same thing as @GeoTony, one of your best!

@Gavinski : Yes - I watched it on your recommendation! Took me a while, because an initial viewing with a friend had to stop because she was triggered by some stuff in it, and I only got round to watching it again on my own the day before I made the piece. I had the sound design of the movie very much in mind. A fantastic film, and a really fantastic soundtrack. Thanks for the heads up. :)
