East Of The Sun And West Of The Moon
A longish (for me) ambient(ish)piece… thanks in advance to anybody who stays the course…
While working on it I remembered this poster that I had on my bedroom wall as a teenager… hence the title.
The art for this by Kay Nielsen is just beautiful.
Ultimately the title has nothing to do with the music although I suppose the music moves from a minor key (the moon 🌒?) to a major key (the sun ☀️?) but this is clutching at straws 🍹

That used to be one of my favorite standards back when I was a jazz player. Is this a piano motif piece or some other generative app?
We had a book of Kay Nielsen; those fairy tales must have influenced Billie or whoever the song writer was. btw nicely done movement from minor to major.
Ambient pieces are supposed to be long.

Yes, this had 17 instances of PM in AUM. 8 playing 8 instruments for the minor key start, transitioning to a different 8 PMs for the major second half and finally 1 PM to play all 8 instruments with the same motif at the end. Screenshot below of 1st 8…
