GeoShred Experiment
I’ve been working on this on and off for 8 months and never produced anything sensible. Then @McD posted this https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/51476/dark-passage and kindly explained what Chromatic Mediants were. This inspired me to have another go, change all the Audio Sources, add a load more, rejig the effects and bingo…
A semi improvised piece all played in one take, no edits, on a single instance of GeoShred…
This is playing the following… (String / Channel)
E/7 BeatHawk Fretless Bass, DRC Don’t Stop Bloom ARP
A/6 BeatHawk Organ and Vibraphone
D/5 Roli Noise Strings & Horns and Harp & Pads
G/4 Roli Noise Running Icicles and DRC Submarine Transmission
B/3 Waverley Scapers Guitar Choir and BeatHawk Religious Female Choir
e/2 Roli Noise Granularity and Pipa
All strings… Roli Noise Alien Drum Kit with notes from GS being manipulated by Rozeta Scaler and LFO
Oh and loads of effects…
Art by AI…

I think your tour bus just pulled up. They’re ready for you.
It always amazes me, the cool ways you find to use GeoShred. All these sounds work so well together. A very successful experiment, I would say.
Sounds terrific! And amazing this is one take from GeoShred.
I’m going to count the days until you put one (just one) of your AUM rigs up on patchstorage. There are so many little details to be discovered in your set up.
Did you use a chromatic layout on GeoShred? It seems like you would have to but many use a scale layout that also includes the accidentals as greyed out notes.
Once you start moving through the Chromatic Medians there are new root along the way. That’s why traditional they were used to glue two sections together that are in different keys with distant roots.
CHROMATIC MEDIAN PROGRESS: Where every chord is a 3rd away from the previous and next chord.
ROOT and M/m 3rds.
C can go to E or Eb
C# can go to F or E
D can go to F# or F
Etc.
The next chord can be a MAJOR or a Minor.
Try these rules in any chord app like Scaler 2 or Suggester.
Wild patch bro. And you learned how to play it too. Amazing!
Hi GeoTony,
A trip to discovery. This music is magical, seems like I am on a journey, and not a scary but a total opening of space and time, very joyful and hopeful!!!
Lovely feel.
I am digging this creation.

Many thanks @NeuM , @MadeofWax , @PhilW , @McD , @Wrlds2ndBstGeoshredr and @ReneAsologuitar …
This was one of the good ones that just felt right (eventually) and the tune just popped out of nowhere…
The video that @McD posted was really interesting, recommended viewing. After watching it you can certainly see how the Lord of the Rings soundtrack evolved.
Might give patchstorage a go @McD , just need to clean the session up a bit…
GS layout was just set to C Major.
