  • I like the melody in this. I'd be curious to hear a less distorted version, but I think it works as it is.

  • Thank you, @MadeofWax. I think this is more structured and melodic than my usual but also that I may get a bit carried away w/fx and can do a better job tweaking them. Your comment is much appreciated and also very helpful. I might give that a go.

  • I will have to agree with MadeofWax's initial call of too much distortion/breaks.
I am loving the melody, and wanted to catch the loveliness without the breaks.

  • Thank you very much, @ReneAsologuitar. Decided I’m going to keep working on it.

  • Thank you again, @MadeofWax and @ReneAsologuitar, for helping improve this a wee bit (I hope). This one goes out to you and your fam, Rene.

And thank you for your wisdom, @LinearLineman. Slowed it down.

This started in Gadget, moved some parts into AUM, importing midi with Atom 2. Sunrizer, Module Pro, Steel Guitar Pro, Hammerhead make appearances. One of my first cohesive songs with a bass line. Thanks, @djpuzzle. Played with one of your tight Hammerhead presets. Wavefolding it was fun if not necessary. Everything else I cooked up. Hope someone enjoys it. Criticism is welcome and very useful to me. Now moving on to something weirder…

  • Wow! That really works. The new tempo, the bass line and drums. Everything sounds so open. You can hear the creative panning and all the melodic elements. Beautiful remix.

  • I like the out of tune ness at around 2:50. This is progress and taking chances. I was going to pm you this from our last discussion, but I’ll post it here. Of course it doesn’t only apply to jazz, but to any creative endeavor…

  • Thanks for checking this out again and for the feedback, @MadeofWax. I definitely feel better about the second version.

@LinearLineman, Thank you, easy for me to forget to stay loose. I was 11 when you wrote that. At around that time, would furtively listen to q93 New Orleans hip hop and RandB radio on my Walkman whenever my parents weren’t paying attention
