Hi rottencat,
40 seconds of no sound (or maybe very little volume, is a bit much.
I love the sea, and the video is great.
Mellow and peaceful.
Nice work.
Rene
This is extremely beautiful. I love it. Do you mind me asking what did you use to generate these random percussive sounds that sounds like kalimba ?
@ReneAsologuitar and @JanKun I thank you both very much.
The kalimba-like sound is a clip I found in one of my sample folders, slowed to half speed and sent through Other Desert Cities. The pad is a lovely Decent Sampler instrument called Isometra which I played through Velvet Machine.
Oh, your stuff is so on my wavelength…! Lovely, just lovely. Reminded me, just a little, of incidental music from one of my favourite movie soundtracks, by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis:
Gee @Svetlovska thank you so very much.
I’m honored to be thought of in the same paragraph as Nick Cave!
I’ll share something with you that I love. It also has that lonesome sound that I’m a sucker for.
Thank you! I had never heard of them before. I can see why you like it. It is good stuff. Let me counter offer something you have probably come across before, which was a big album for me at one time:
It starts slow and … gets spicy.
Oh how I love Kronos! I used to live in NYC and I was fortunate enough to see them several times. If memory serves, I believe I saw them perform Black Angels once.
I’d love to keep trading back and forth like this…
Very serene vibes.. I’m diggin it!
Thanks @Edward_Alexander!
