I was sort of just thinking that maybe you'd worked some clock sync/code in there for devs to work with, but after thinking about it a little more I'm guessing that's no the kind of thing you'd hide. ;-)
Nah, it's not in there.
What we did is add code/stuff to make sure that developers can update their apps with new capabilities and still have older versions of their apps in our database. As a user you won't notice it other than by everything just working - no matter if you've updated an app or didn't.
