The Sea Song
The Sea Song is a Collaboration Project.
This song is by ingolee and steban of Indie Recording Depot.
They asked me to collaborate with them, and see what I can come up with, on their musical composition. I told them that they might not be able to recognize their song after I am done with it, and they trusted me - Yeayyyy!!!
I love the intimacy of this song, and peaceful vibe it brings.
Thank you steban and ingolee for asking me to sing your composition!!!
And thank you for your trust and confidence, and patience, most especially for your generosity and graciousness.
I am so honored and proud to be a part of this song journey
Loved it!!!
The Sea Song, A Collaboration Project by Steve Bancroft, Ingo Lee, Rene Abadesco
When I see the sea
My heart skips a beat
The world has stopped for me
I feel so complete
I want to go down there
Smell the salty air
And maybe I suppose
Feel the sand between my toes
Checking out the beach set
Wanting to get wet
Wishing I was younger
And a little stronger
Got UV protection
That’s my solution
Frolic in the ocean
if you get the notion
The sea’s a melody
And now it sings to me
No place I’d rather be
I’m happy on the sea
Sometimes the water’s warm
Or cool as winter rain
But once you’re finally in
The wind is like a friend
Won’t you come with me
Swimming in the sea
But if you’d rather not
You can sit and watch
BRIDGE I’ll sail away

“ Indie Recording Depot” looks interesting… did your collaborators provide a demo of the tune to get you started? Is your contribution in the lyrics, melody or mainly the performance.
It would be fun to hear their demo to see how you made it better.
I just cannot get over how good your vocal mic sounds. I need to check and see if my node after neck surgery has given me back a couple notes so I could at least have a useable octave+. I can jump over the node damage but my falsetto sounds like a bad cartoon character and nothing like a crooner.
I feel like this is one of your best vocal performances that you’ve shared here. Not sure if it’s just the perfect key for your voice or if you just had a particularly great performance but this really showcases your talents.
Absolutely beautiful! Brings back some wonderful memories of summer at the beach with my family.
Mom always made sure I had UV protection!
There seems to be a few collaborations here tonight. Perhaps, one day, you might consider doing one with me.
Rene, your voice could turn any heart of stone into chocolate and let them melt.
Agree the voice sounds really good here.
@ReneAsologuitar , do you take requests? How about:
How Deep is Your Love
I’m Your Venus, I’m Your Fire
Woodstock
I can’t help but hear Octopus’ Garden on this one. I’d like to hear you sing a cappella. Your voice could handle it.
Maybe you’ll send me such a track and I could try to do with it what I did with Charley Krachy’s sax.
This one was particularly soothing. Thanks for sharing.
Hi McD,
Thank you so much for the exceptional compliments.
Ingo and Steve gave me lyrics and melody, and I asked permission to chop it up.
I gave them a warning that they might not be able to recognize the song after I am done, which they approved very graciously.
I will have to communicate with you separately on the song evolution.
I can share this with you, and report back on your evaluation.
This could be an education for myself as well.
Thanks, and hope you are back 100%, and that your node is also working well at this time.
Talk to you later.
Thank you.
Rene
Your comment is a huge compliment to me, and I really appreciate this.
Thank you so much, MadeofWax!!!

Hi JanKun,
You are so awesome, and I love your comments.
Thank you so much.
Warm regards,

Hi W2BG,
Thank you so much!!!
I got lucky on your special request.
Here's one I just completed a few weeks ago, and this one's from deep in my heart!!!
I hope you like this version.
Thanks again.
Rene
Hi Mike,
You are such an artist, and I love your creations.
I would have to get a very wet acoustic room for an a capella type singing.
Thanks again!!!
Rene
Any chance to hear that voice is a chance well taken.
There are so many great songs I would love to hear you sing, but I feel it would be presumptuous to ask.
Anything by Leonard Cohen, Scott Walker, Armstrong’s Wonderful World… there is a sweetness and male fragility in your voice which I feel would play really well against classically ‘tough’ male/macho songs or song deliveries. It’s A Man’s Mans Man’s Mans World springs to mind; or The Days Of Pearly Spencer… I could go on…
…Basically, I could listen to you singing the phone book and like it, is what I’m saying!
Hi Svetlovska,
This is truly a huge compliment, especially coming from you.
I do have a song that I am trying to dedicate to a very good friend from way back.
And this would probably be in this category.
I would like to answer your post with a dedication of this song, Somewhere Over The Rainbow!
I will have to get my own interpretation of this very touching classic.
Thank you.
Rene
Loved the song, specially the frolic in the ocean line…
@LinearLineman implanted Octopus’d Graden in my head so I struggled to hear anything else 🐙🪴
@Svetlovska , my dad always used to say of the phone book… not much of a story but a hell of a cast!

Hi Tony,
The lyrics are from Ingo Lee and Steve Bancroft, and they did a wonderful creating this lyrical scene.
Thank you, as always for your solid commentary and support.

This is lovely and a perfect example of why I come here to listen and learn. Thanks for sharing.
